Frequently asked questions.

Original artwork FAQs

 What is a stretched painting?

A stretched painting is when the canvas is tightly pulled over a timber sub-frame, making it ready for display. Please note that it doesn’t include an external frame.

Buying from overseas can I purchase an already stretched painting?

Unfortunately not available due to courier limitations on larger sized items, for protection reasons to avoid damages incurred during long freights and due to some customs limitations on timber products (sub-frame). Your Original artwork will be protected in paper, rolled up and sent in a high-grade shipping tube. Thank you for your understanding.

What does ‘unstretched canvas’ mean?

‘Unstretched canvas’ means the painting won’t be on a sub-frame. Instead, it will be rolled up, protected with glassine paper, and shipped in a tube.

Once purchasing an original when will the painting be shipped?

It will take up to 7-10 business days to have the original artwork prepared and dispatched. The shipping times will vary on location and the courier. An email with a tracking number will be sent once the order has been dispatched.

  • It should be securely packaged in the same packaging it arrived in (please save the glassine paper and packaging for reuse). Otherwise, replace with similar paper (can use baking paper).

Prints FAQs

 What paper do I offer?

I offer 3 different paper types for my prints.

Open -edition prints I use:

Ultra Matt 250gsm: Smooth poster like finish, this style of print is a perfect affordable option for anyone wanting to style their home with art reproduction pieces. I have offered this choice to make art available for everybody.

Limited Edition prints I use:

Ilford Galerie Textured Cotton Rag 310gsm: this paper is 25% cotton and 75% cellulose, which is a great range of quality paper with a soft textured matte feel and a warm white media capable of delivering stunning contrast and sharpness with a large colour scope. This paper adds a bit more of a sophisticated feel.

Polly-cotton Canvas 350gsm: I offer prints on polly-cotton canvas, giving your finished artwork a lightly textured finish and guaranteeing a breathtaking and long-lasting end result. Frame options are available or simply stretched on 38mm timber sub-frame. Unstretched prints are also available for international and national orders. (Please find framing options at the bottom of the page, with measurements and images)

Will my print include a white border? (Paper prints only)

All prints have up to 1 inch of a white border, to bring focus to the center of the image and allow for the eye to have space between the print and the frame.

Will my print be signed?

Only limited edition prints will be hand signed and numbered.

Is the Paper print framed?

No, Paper prints come unframed, but instead I offer a beautiful range of frames with canvas art prints. See below all your framing options.

What frames do you offer with canvas prints?

My framed canvas prints I currently offer Natural Oak, Vincent Walnut, Henri Black and Henri White. Please see section at the bottom of this page for images. All prints will come securely fitted with D-ring hanging fixtures and picture wire.

What is the difference between limited edition and open edition print?

Limited edition prints have a set number of prints per size chosen. I will only print 25 limited edition prints per size and they come with a signed certificate of authenticity and they are numbered. I will offer 3-4 different sizes per artwork and will specify these on the listing with full transparency.

Limited edition prints are printed on highest quality paper with archival inks to last you a lifetime.

Open-edition prints are a great budget option for your home. These are also printed on high quality paper with archival inks but these are reproduced indefinitely. These prints do not come with a signed certificate of authenticity or numbering on the print.

Will more limited edition prints be reproduced once all are sold?

No, the essence of a limited edition print lies in its exclusivity. Once a specific painting has sold all its allocated prints in various sizes, it will never be reproduced. This exclusivity adds to the print’s uniqueness and value. Each print will be individually signed and numbered by the artist.

How long will my print order take?

Print orders are custom-made from the date of purchase, and the production process typically takes up to 10 business days. However, during busy periods or sales, orders may require more time. Once the print is created, it will be collected and carefully packed by me before being shipped. You can expect your order to be shipped within 10 business days from the date of purchase. If there are any anticipated delays, we will notify you via email.

Can I return a print?

Prints are custom-made to order; as a result, they cannot be returned. We kindly ask that you make your selection carefully when choosing your print. Rest assured, we have used digital images in the listing that closely resemble the original artwork. If your print arrives damaged, please contact me via contact form.

Will the colours look the same as on the website?

While I carefully manage the colours to match my website’s files, please be aware that variations in screen configurations can result in slight colour differences.
